Earth Pyramids of Bolzano

The Earth Pyramids, a natural wonder in northern Italy, stand as captivating geological formations shaped by centuries of erosion. These spires of earth and stone, crowned by large boulders, create an awe-inspiring sight. Located in the South Tyrol region near Bolzano, these pyramids are often called “hoodoos” due to their unique form. The stratified layers of clay and sand make them particularly susceptible to erosion, resulting in their striking, top-heavy shapes.
